Sanctum
First-person tower defence: before each wave you raise blocks on a grid to lengthen the aliens' route to the core and put towers on top of them, then you join in, shooting with three weapons. Co-op for up to four players.
Why play it now
When you want to plan with no clock running: the wave only starts once you hit ready, and then it's time to shoot.
Who it's for
For anyone who loves designing the perfect maze and replaying a map until they find the best solution.
When not to pick it
If you want a story: there is hardly any plot, and it is all about holding off waves.
