Anomaly: Warzone Earth
Tower defence turned on its head: you lead a convoy through the streets of Baghdad and Tokyo, overrun by alien towers. You plot the route on the tactical map, buy and order up to six units, and your commander, on foot, hands out repairs, smoke and decoys.
Why play it now
When you want a short campaign, around five hours long, that mixes route planning with reacting on the fly.
Who it's for
For tower defence fans keen to see the genre from the other side: here you are the one attacking.
When not to pick it
If you hate missing a turning: the convoy can't stop or reverse halfway down the street.
